Wait! Wait! Had one. Cost $90.
The squirrels learned how to tighten the lock screws and burn out $50 battery. Gave up on it.
I have a bird feeder grave yard. Re-buy the ones that work best and pick parts from the graveyard. It’s the only way.

"Cant even guess how many hundreds of dollars in feeders the damn squirrels have caused, never mind the seed." Except for the open feeder on the back porch, I actually had the squirrels under control with the feeders. Between good squirrel guards and expensive squirrel proof feeders, combined with providing them their own feeders, I had the squirrels pretty much resigned to settling for what I gave them. But the coons knock them clear out of the trees. When I lived over in Mountain Home, I had a huge front yard and a great pole set up that prevented squirrels or coons from getting to it. Unfortunately, there are so many trees here that there just isn't enough open space to set up the pole structure where it wouldn't be accessible wither from the trees or the house. I'd come up with something if I had more time to mess with it.

"I do like our pellet gun as it has made our chipmunk problem a no problem........" The chipmunks are about the only critters around here with any manners. They're perfectly content to munch on the sunflower seeds I toss down for them under the porch.

Neither the squirrels here, nor the chimunks have any manners.
The squirrels are the worst. But they have figured out to not go near the feeder any longer.
Must be all the little heads on pikes.......
