That’s not a nightmare.

One of my students paints nightmares for fun and they are fabulous.

Douche is different in America than it is in Europe.

This is SO not fair! The vermin squirrels have brought in reinforcements. I'm convinced that they've partnered up with the raccoons. Mama raccoon just turned up on my back porch with 3 babies. They were so off the cuteness scale that not only did I not run them off, but I found something for them to eat. Something tells me I'm in big trouble now. I would post the pictures I took, but the POC computer long since quit cooperating with any photo program. I'll try from work Thursday.

Have fun with the raccoons. I’ve fed families of them on my back deck, too. They are amazing. Did it for years and they never caused any damage.

And also high on the cuteness scale....on the other side of the house...a fawn, roaming about on his own. Got a pretty good shot of him, too. Then, when he saw me, he started moving towards me instead of away from me. I’m starting to feel like Snow White in the woods with all the critters. Nothing around here is afraid of me. I must have “sucker for all cute animals” stamped across my forehead in some universal forest language or something.

They demolish my bird feeders. I’ve had to take most of them down. I had bunches of them.

Maybe someone put a sign to that effect on your back while pretending to give you a backrub?

I’m just sayin’...

Confessions - Peter Murphy

I could use your gullibility
Distort the painful truth
Present a fear and laugh at you
Leave you lost unsure removed
The must I feel to put it right
Put an end to naive faith
In slick successes avenue
The vacuum of save face

Direct words can turn lost minds
Towards some monster seed
Lyrics sung from pretty looks
Can on the reader feed
Be strong to check and recognise
The pretty face is all
But being used to sell you songs
That never say it all

The incident meets the senses
The illusions in a mask
The sun of a summer afternoon
Docility rocks the mask
Broken loose from moorings
In a flash the swell had passed
Towards the beach with unabated speed
Confessions of a mask

Sorry about your feeders. They are a joy lost. Raccoons never got at my feeders. I have them on long pulley ropes. Squirrels assail them but not coons. Can’t even guess how many hundreds of dollars in feeders the damn squirrels have caused, never mind the seed.
