Well, FWIW, I haven’t been aboard a commercial flight since summer of 2001, and I’ve no plan to change that. The reasons behind that are not fare for this thread, but relate to the genuine cardboard cut-out “security” provided by DHS/TSA.
I took the entire family to see the latest PIXAR release “Ratatouille” on Saturday afternoon; it was hilarious, and the rendering is a universe away from the CG work of just five years ago — to the point that they had to tack on a paragraph at the end of the credits disclaiming the use of any non-CG content or motion capture methods.
Afterward, we took the kiddies to have a sleep over at some friends’ house, then went to Ruth’s Chris for a REAL Anniversary dinner; just the two of us.
TIP: For two dining at Ruth’s Chris, the Portebello Mushroom dinner makes and excellent appetizer plate, obviating the need for additional potatos or veggies, and embellishing one’s steak with their “Bleu Cheese Crust” results in sheer ecstasy for the taste buds; it cannot be too highly recommended.
Congratulations on your anniversary! I’ll suggest that my mother take the kids to see this movie when she’s here on Saturday.
Happy Anniversary, late!
My mouth was watering more with each sentence about your dinner. I could live on steak, mushrooms, garlic bread and white wine....*slobber-slobber*
Thanks for the review on “Ratatouille.” I love the pixelated movies. I’m still trying to beef up my collection with the last half-dozen...”Cars,” “Over the Hedge,” etc.
