:’) Posnansky claimed Tiahuanaco was built as early as 15,000 BC, and tried to prop that up using some kind of solar alignment. He said here’s the alignment, but it doesn’t work now, it would only line up 17,000 years ago, voila, I’ve proved the city is that old. Neil Steede has refined that number to about 7000 BC. And of course, there’s no texts at the site which reveal that any astronomical alignments were in use, so that’s all imaginary anyway. Radiocarbon dates of the site run back to about 400 AD. Estimated abandonment was around 1000 AD.
