The rigor of archaeoastronomical research is only surpassed by the global warming demagoguery. Al Shaikh says it could be explained by the movement of tectonic plates, erosion, and soft sand. Of course, it could also be much more plausibly explained by the fact that his solstice observatory is entirely imaginary, a modern invention.
