The countdown is on! We're all waiting. Let's talk about it while we're waiting.
This countdown ticks down the time to both the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix film.
Countdown clocks can be found at http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/#static:countdowns
1. There's nothing in the Mugglenet book about Voldemort's wand. I read something else that speculated Wormtail had hidden it while Voldemort was gone, but I can't remember where.
2. Did anyone else watch Dan Radcliffe on Leno last night? He was soooo nervous. Strange since he paraded around naked on stage in London six times a week for the last four months. Jay showed footage of Dan, Rupert, and Emma putting their handprints and wand prints in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater yesterday.
They also showed footage of the Patronus scene from the OOP movie. Ginny's patronus is a stallion. There was previously a report that it was a phoenix. Ron's is a Jack Russell terrier, Luna's is a hare and Hermione's is an otter. Neville of course only produced silver vapor.
Tomorrow night - "Order of the Phoenix" in IMAX 3-D.
I was reading PoA last night and got to the part where Hagrid was talking of the night Lily and James were murdered. Hagrid pulled Harry from the rubble, which I forgot. I wonder if Harry will take Hagrid back to Godric’s Hollow in DH. We could see it from Hagrid’s eyes, etc. I also wondered if the curse bouncing off Harry to Voldemort made the house blow up or if that was a clue that someone else was there with Voldemort. I just don’t believe that Voldemort could have blown up the house after getting hit with his own curse. That would also explain who had the wand...
Anyone think Draco and Harry will work together in book 7? Some of the people implied that could happen in the special the other night.
Several of the commentaries I’ve read speculated that the house couldn’t have been blown up by the Killing curse rebounding. I think that’s codswallop, to quote Hagrid. In HBP, curses collapse a ceiling in Hogwarts and destroy walls.
Good point. I hope she does.
Is there a delicate, girlie way of saying "I'd hit it?" :)
Depends on the question. Is it sad that Harry comes to an end, or that the telling of the story has come to an end?
Which was funny because that didn't happen in the first movie (the ride part). So it was weird to hear the line "Here is where I leave you, Harry Potter." Suddenly it was a more figurative line.
LOL!! I didn't see it, but it's probably on You Tube already. Sometimes we can get Leno On Demand on cable around here.
Nope.
Well, maybe if you say it like, “Thou would hittist it,” so it sounds kind of Shakespearean. Not really girly, but a bit classier. ;-)
Oh no I missed the interview, I wonder if it is posted on You Tube.
I have been rereading the books, :)(I’m such a nerd) and caught a mistake. In the Goblet of Fire toward the end of the book, after Harry watched Cedric die, it talked about the horseless carriages taking them to the train. Well, if he had already seen Cedric die then he would have seen the thestrals.
That would be, "He is sooooo cute!"
LMAO....thanks for the suggestion.
We discussed this very matter on a thread a few months back and everyone wondered about why Harry couldn’t see the thestrals right away. My theory is that like polyjuice potion has to mature a full moon cycle, so does the ability to see thestrals. That’s why he could see them at the beginning of his fifth year, but not at the end of his fourth.
"Oh, doesn't he look fiiiiine!" (The key is in the emphasis on "fine"!)
In Spanish, we can say, "Ay, ay, ay ... que hombre!" with a sigh on the aaaay.
I’d like to take a ride on his broomstick...
Oh, that makes sense. :( Here I thought I caught something. :) Should have known that freepers would be way ahead of the game.
Thank you!!
You guys are cracking me up!!
He’s way too young for my taste. I like men 55 and up.
