I can’t remember.
Mundungus pops to mind, though. He was the one who eavesdropped on the kids "Dumbledores Army" meeting at the Hogs Head Inn.
He was dressed as a warlock (or something) and had his face covered, because (who we think is) Aberforth barred him from the Inn years ago.
Mundungus deals in stolen goods, and probably all things illegal.
I'm going with Mundungus.:)
He's sneaky, and I loved it when Harry put him up against the wall in HBP.
I like Remus because he was everything Sirius wasn't: calm, mature, thoughtful, etc.
He addressed Harry's greatest fear and taught him how to summon his Patronus.
I truly hope Lupin is a good guy.
Those 24 hours between James and Lily being murdered and Harry being delivered to Privet Drive are crucial to the story....and Remus wasn't there.
Cue the spooky music...
I can’t remember who the first two to stand were. ....
Regarding Lupin and where he was......there was a theory. A little far fetched I think but it’s their theory. It’s late and I can’t find the info tonight but based on the examples I gave above and a few more - they believe Lupin is actually James. The examples they gave - Lupin not wanting Trelawney to do a reading for him (like he is hiding more than what we know) and his overt concern for Harry were just a few. And when I read the clues they gave - it sounded plausable but I just can’t imagine James (as Lupin) not wanting to do everything he could to be around Harry all the time and then he starts dating Tonks in HBP which didn’t feel right (if Lupin were actually James).
*They* are the people who wrote the Clues To Harry Potter. I think it’s someone from Mugglenet. If I get a chance I’ll find the references - it’s kind of interesting.
Ron and Harry stood up at the same time.
Oh, I hope that clue isn’t used! I don’t want any more of my favorite characters to die. She can kill Draco, Percy or one of the less mentioned characters but not one of my favorites.
That is an interesting theory, but very far-out. Sort of like my theory that Severus Snape is Draco Malfoy’s real father.
daily countdown bump
Morning. Another day goes by ... how many more?
No books on tape at my nearest library today :-(. I’ll have to try to next county, after the 4th.
But on the other hand, my daughter drove me to the library and back without a disaster; it’s her first week driving!
Looked at a few - pretty good. Helena Bonham Carter never looks a day older. Maybe she’s a Goa’uld :-).
What’s a Goa’uld?
They’re the aliens in “Stargate.” They take over people with effects that include the people’s not aging.
They’re also very disagreeable, which seems to fit Ms. Carter, from what I read in the gossip mags when I’m waiting at the hairdresser or the doctor :-).
It’s funny to see Neville so tall! He looks like he could comfortably rest his elbows on the heads of the other students :-).
It gives him a more impressive presence in GoF, and in these scenes from OotP, than he has in the books, where the character is still quite tentative.
5. Hagrid is gay.
4. Percy is adopted.
3. Myrtle is really a 35-year-old woman only pretending to be a high school girl.
2. Crabbe's Great Uncle Buster was a famous muggle movie star who would've been disowned, except that he's so cool.
1. Just Ron's luck, Lavender was a guy! (I mean really, what else could "her" name indicate?)
Morning Harry Potter Countdown BUMP.
Good afternoon! Happy Independence Day!
The current “Archaeology” magazine has an article about potential archaelogical evidence for the historicity of Romulus and Remus as founders of the city of Rome. Romulus killed Remus, his twin brother, for some reason I can’t recall! When I find the magazine, I’ll see if I can’t make a connection to somethings’ happening to Remus Lupin!
It’s in a pile here somewhere. With ten of us, there’s a ton of reading material around!
