Anyone hear speak Polish?

Is there a Polish Ping list someone could direct this to please? I need a Polish translation (well an English paragraph translated into Polish). Brief, about 4 or 5 lines. If someone is fluent in Polish, I'd be most grateful if you could please freepmail me. Thanks!

Not a bit.
But I can sing the Polish National Anthem!

Yup.
My girls had to learn it to perform Polish dance. I learned it by hearing it all the time. (this is their 5th year. Mil started when she was 18 months old!)

I can also sing three songs in Slovak. I have no clue what they are about and so far no one has translated them for us.
Goose dance, Poppyseed dance and the Bacon song.

I can sing one song in Japanese, end theme for “The Cat Returns”. I actually love it and sing it all the time.

I can understand a lot of French from watching French, subtitled movies that came across Lake Erie from Canada to Cleveland. We got channel 10 from London, ON. However I can’t speak or read it.

And of course, some liturgical Latin.

Baba refused to teach any of her 12 children Polish. They were American and should speak English. They could talk about them as well! I’ve considered sending the girls to Polish school at our local Polish church but it’s the same night as Polish dance. It’s a pity.

Not sure why you would think I can speak Polish. A little Russian, but not Polish.

Thanks for your help. I used those free translation websites when learning French and Italian however it only aided me because I already knew the basics. It’s not good for one who doesn’t know a thing because it translates literally and can make whole phrases lose its meaning at times.

That’s why I thought I’d better get the Polish translation from a real person so as to get it right. I don’t know even one word in Polski (ok, so I know “one” word ;-)

I hear Polish when I dust my furniture, it kind makes a spritzing sound when it comes out of the can.

I can read a little Polish, but speaking it is a whole other kettle of fish.

Here is a site I use sometimes for translations, http://www.poltran.com .

Perhaps I can help. If you mail me the paragraph, I will translate it for you.
