I dont own a gun but if one of my neighbors had one of these ‘dogs’ I would buy one. If it got loose and was on my property aggressive or not I would put it down... (after I learn to shoot ;)

Yea cause when I think loving dog I think of attacking little old ladies. This is the problem with pit bulls most spooked Dogs *might*, worst case, snip the hand not maul somebody. I had a shepard-mix who when he was a year old had a kid run up behind him and yank his, well, male parts. He never trusted kids again nor anyone coming from behind to pet him he would growl bark and get very scary looking but he never bit or attacked.

Maybe if she understood english she would have. Still any dog worth breeding would not have mauled her for such an offense but the nature of the pitbull is nasty and agressive.

Defending with a gun possibly bad but owning an aggressive animal and letting a kid walk it in public good?

My humble but urgent advice:
With due respect to the laws in your neck of the woods, start on the gun project right now. Since we're at war with an enemy who targets civilians engaged in innocent pursuits and since our culture currently thinks it's better to spend money supporting indolence, drug abuse, and bastardy than to spend it on protecting our lives and property and providing jail cells for miscreants, it is more and more urgent that citizens responsibly and informedly prepare themselves to defend themselves, those they love, and the innocent around us.
Besides, shooting is cheaper than golf, more fun, and WAY more useful!

I would but I have kids (2y and 8mo) and while I *know* people can make it secure enough for them I am prone to make subtle small mistakes and I respect guns too much to risk that in my home right now. When the kids are old enough to teach and trust Ill reconsider this..
Still thanks for your advice were my situation a little different I would take you up on it, until then I will have to be a non gun owner who will raise my voice for the second..

Ive got a jackass neighbor with one of these dogs constantly getting loose and terrorizing the neighborhood. It may meet a similar fate someday. Hey, better sooner than later.
