It’s “The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension” and that movie is fantastic!

Gorgeous movie... my favorite Sci-fi. No cgi, it was all “analog”.

I probably read this back in 2007 when it was posted

Yes, I want a replicant that looks like Rachel but with the sexuality of Pris.

My second-most favorite line is when Pris says "then we're stupid, and we'll die." Encapsulates the GOP, does it not?
I'm surprised there is no mention in the article or this thread about Vangelis' soundtrack. I think it adds quite a bit to the movie.

BR is a great movie. We just watched int on our 51” plasma last week. Rutger Hauer’s death speech is classic.
But I’m sick to death of dystopian future movies. Just like I’m sick of “Diehard” copys. Excellent movies whose plots and visuals have been beaten to death by low rent copycats.

Its a worldwide phenomenon - thats what so remarkable, said Rutger Hauer, the Dutch actor who starred in the film opposite Harrison Ford and just published a memoir, ...It works in Japan, Argentina, Russia ... anywhere you go where people watch movies, they know `Blade Runner. I enjoyed Blade Runner even though I'm not a movie person - seems this applies...
