It doesn’t look like a very friendly area of Milwaukee ....
What the hell is Juneteenth? Another made up holiday like kawanza?
One almost starts to think that black populations have a problem with violence and self control.
Three suspects held in shooting of four year old are released despite Police Chief and Mayor posing for Holy Pictures and promising to bring the perpetrators to justice. That was five weeks ago and nothing has happened in that case.
Local media downplaying the recurring incidence of roving mobs of teenagers attacking people in the central city and at Summer Fest.
Uhhh...obviously it is a celebration of rioting! Maybe Rodney King came up with it.
Juneteenth is a celebration of the end of Slavery.
Almost?! LOL!
Here in Milwaukee about 80% of the crime occurs in 20% of the city. The area is the Near North Side immediately North of downtown.
Juneteenth
Around 6:40 p.m. in the 3100 block of N. 1st St.
After Juneteenth ended, hundreds of teenagers started causing havoc. Police say they ran up to a vehicle near N. 1st St. and Burleigh, started kicking the vehicle and pulled the driver out of his vehicle. The driver is a 33-year-old man. MPD says teenagers started hitting and kicking the man. He had cuts all over his face and a broken tooth. He was treated and released from a local hospital.
About 7 p.m. in the 3200 block of N. 1st St., near 1st and Auer
A group of girls started fighting. Police went to break it up, and a 17-year-old female refused to calm down. Police say she started punching a 15-year veteran police officer. She hit him in his face shield. That broke and shattered into the officers face. He had to get three stitches and suffered scratches to his neck. The 17-year old was arrested for battery to a police officer. Police say the case will likely go to the district attorneys office today or tomorrow.
Around 2 p.m. in the 3000 block of N. 1st St.
Three females started fighting. A 15-year-old boy acquaintance tried to break up the fight, when an 18-year-old man jumped in and started fighting the 15-year-old boy. Police say the 15-year old beat up the 18-year old. The 18-year old was angry and said as he walked away Im coming back with a gun. The 18-year old does in fact return with a gun. MPD says he fired five gunshots into a crowd where the 15-year old was standing. The 15-year old’s 39-year-old uncle was shot in the right shoulder. He was treated and released from the hospital. Police are still looking for the shooter. Police dont believe this is related to Juneteenth celebrations.

Note to self: invest in urban clothing stores that sell 4XL white t-shirts. They apparently do big business.
