A relative, the sister I think, said the baby didn’t have a word for comforter, and may/did call it a rug. The comforter (rug) was missing from the bed, which was astray, and the lampshade missing from nightstand (table), and knocked over (broken).

The grandmother said the comforter looked liked her oriental rug....that’s why he said “rug”.
