Police Looking for Abandoned Newborn Girl in Case of Missing Ohio Mom Jessie Davis

Police are looking into the discovery of an abandoned newborn baby in a wicker basket in their investigation into the disappearance of 9-months-pregnant Ohio mom Jessie Davis.

Canton, Ohio, police patrolman Bobby Cutts Jr. has two children with his wife and another child with Nikki Giavasis, who now lives in California. He is also the father of Davis' toddler son Blake, as well as her unborn baby girl. Davis disappeared last week.

Cutts is a witness in a federal lawsuit that could go to trial this year surrounding discrimination claims within the Canton Police Department against black officers.

Would be interested in your opinion on the matter of Fairfax deputy sheriff Robert Cutts vs. Ohio police officer Bobby Cutts’ racial discrimination lawsuits. Do you think this might be the same guy or a relative?

From what I heard the baby that was left on the doorstep of the retired school nurse, also had diapers, and other toiletries. Sure doesn’t sound like someone who would have killed the mother would have done something like that

But this whole case is very bizarre.

It doesn’t sound like the abandoned baby is Jessie’s from what ‘sources’ are saying.

I feel so sorry for Jessie’s mom and sister. This whole thing is just terrible.

I suspect the boyfriend (or his wife). He has knowledge of police techniques, would have had easy access to Jessie Davis’ bedroom, and whoever did this didn’t harm the son. There was no evidence of a struggle - so Jessie felt safe. He probably strangled her (or something similar so as to leave no blood trail) to her as she slept. I doubt the newborn they found is Jessie’s.

Makes me wonder if the baby belongs to a former student at the school where the nurse worked. And whoever left the baby knew her & trusted her. It’s really strange. Maybe the timing is just coincidental.

Agree - (I watch too many crime & investigation shows;)no guns, knives or blunt trauma - better to use drugs or suffocation.

Is it possible that any struggle (or tranquilizing drug injection)could have caused spontaneous contractions/water break? If so, that might explain the bleach in the room.

Oh, yeah, I tried to resolve that last night, but never could make up my mind and needed to be doing some other things, so couldn’t get into it too deeply.

He is Robert L. Cutts, Jr., age 30. His father is Robert L. Cutts, Sr., 51, Orrville, OH. I found only Canton for his father’s residences, none in VA, or Fairfax. However, these is one somewhat undetermined one without an age showing or middle initial, with Fairfax as a former residence, so I’m not sure that it wasn’t his father.

It’s just that he started with the sheriff’s dept in VA in 1985 I think it was - the suit was in 1998 and he had been with them 13 years - so if it were this Cutts’s father, I think he lived there long enough for it to show up as his long-time former address.

It’s close enough to me that I can’t rule it out, but can’t confirm it, either.

Also sorry to hear they’re saying on TV news that it’s probably not Jessie’s baby that was found.

Thanks for the review. As I noted, the similar name and same type of lawsuit raised my ‘gotcha’ flags.

Don’t know if it will turn out to be good or bad WRT the abandoned baby.

Things surely do not look good for Jessie Davis and family.

Just saw the ex-GF on “Inside Edition.” Plus heard some audio of Cutts saying he would be dumb and naive to think he’s “not a suspect,” as they are saying.

He said he had tried to talk to Blake ... didn’t say the outcome of that. Got the impression that he didn’t talk to him.

OMG. This article reports his name to be Bobby L. Cutts, Jr. just like in the Virginia lawsuit. This is way too much of a coincidence!!

When Cutts first began working for the Sheriff in 1985, no disciplinary action was recommended against an officer with the Fairfax County Police Department who filed a complaint with the Sheriff’s department that Cutts "had a white wife," and further that complaint remained in Mr. Cutts personnel file with the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office until 1992.

They sued Fairfax, Virginia for $45 million and apparently won but I can't find how much they got. This has to be the same guy. He posted this at a site called multiracial.com
