I just pulled the albums I have, couldn’t remember the names.

I’ve got that one, South of the Border, Going Places, TJ Brass and Vol 2 and The Lonely Bull along with two Baja Marimba Bands.

Haven’t listened to them for years but I’m going to, it was great music.

Re: Herb Alpert

As a minor bit of trivia, on the S.R.O. album, there is a tune called the ‘Work Song’, very up-tempo, very ‘with it’ kinda rhythm, that song made a LOT of money for Herb and his boys, as it was used by Chrysler Corporation for their 1970 product line of muscle cars, the Plymouth Sport Fury, Road Runner and Duster 340, known collectively as the Chrysler ‘Rapid Transit System’.

Wish I could find a commercial of that. :)

Great, great music! I’ve often wondered what the sound might have been like if Herb Alpert had collaborated with Chuck Mangione (maybe he did?), the sound would have to be fantastic.

Yup. Good 'cleaning the house' music.
