Yes, unfortunately they have to do that. If it's a kid with the injury they will ask the kid and parents separately several times.

Crop report from SW KS is wheat starting to turn and irrigated corn is 12", dryland corn shorter than that. There's quite a lot of irrigation down in this area.

Dryland corn seems a poor bet in this very arid area but we've seen some. Mostly wheat though. Rain forecast today and tomorrow.

We heard that Scotts Bluff NE had frost last week and the wheat fields are now white and the corn is now black.

Somebody better page Al Gore for an explanation...

This is the only building in the area unscathed. I have my own thoughts about that.


The plane is left over from the previous war. Just rotting out in the desert.
