Actually this list itself ain't bad, it's just most of the songs that are [deleted]. But not all, of course -- there's plenty of yacht rock to love. And who better to rank these tunes than VH1? There must be some holdovers from before the celebreality pox. Tomorrow night, Video Hits 1 will air their televised countdown of the Top 40 soft rock tunes, but go ahead and take a gander now and see if they hit the Marx.

Say what you will about this list, but we're with #1 (love us some Chris Cross). Also, whatever happened to the Yacht Rock guys? Weren't they developing something for VH1? Maybe they'll talk about it when it airs tomorrow. Too bad we won't be watching.
You know, al baby, you are the wind beneath my wings.
That’s pushing it.
How about Fleetwood Mac’s Landslide or Bonnie Tyler’s Total Eclipse of the Heart?
But somehow less than music.
Bannie, you came and you gave without taking
And I sent you away, Oh bannie...
Sure sure. I bet Cyborg has you popping in the Dixie Chicks and Air supply CDs.
I would offer "Could it be Magic" in its place. At least that song has a lovely, timeless melody courtesy of Chopin.
What was that song about the horse that died? It ran away because of some frost...
stupidest song ever.
You have to admit its hard not to watch.
well you make me feel like dancin
LOL. I don’t even know that one.
No soft rock list is complete without Barely Manenough.
What??? No Ramones????
How about the Wind Cries Mary by Hendrix or Dylan’s Lay Lady Lay?
Like an impending train wreck...
Wildfire? LOL. There was also one called Shannon about some sap’s dog, I think.
You’ve produced a list of really bad badness. Even the ones I like are “reach for the tuner slowly” songs vs. “slam the volume down while retuning” songs.
What about my scrorotum
Wildfire!
she ran crying ‘wiiiiiiiild fiiiiiiiiire...’
I dont’ even think it’s meteorologically correct. How the heck is frost supposed to spook a horse?
For a one-hit wonder I would nominate "Captain of Her Heart" by Double. The brilliant break in that song at the flatted fifth still gives me chills. You know which note I'm talking about. Everybody does, even if they don't know what a flatted fifth is.
Weird Al?
