Police: Woman dragged to death under minivan

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida (AP) -- A woman trying to stop a motorist from fleeing after a collision was dragged for several miles to her death under the man's minivan, officials said Monday.

Authorities said they were still searching for the minivan's driver.

Sandra Hall was in a Cadillac that was struck by the minivan Sunday night, Broward County sheriff's officials said.

The minivan was driven away with the Cadillac in pursuit, and when both vehicles were stopped in traffic Hall got out and stood in front of the minivan, authorities said.

The minivan struck Hall, who became lodged underneath the moving vehicle, officials said.

Go figure.

When it comes to where and why posts/threads live or die on FR, I gave up trying a long time ago.

I just go with the flow.

“They need to solve it before I solve it,”
said Michael Williams, Sandra Hall’s husband.

If someone did this to one of my family
The police better get to him first...

Courageous or crazy? Should have gotten his license # and gone home and she’d still be alive. When people have been known to shoot other drivers for cutting them off in traffic or giving them the finger, you have to be nuts to chase down a driver who flees the scene of an accident, not to mention getting out and standing in front of the vehicle. That’s begging for something bad to happen and this poor lady sure got what she asked for.

Oh, yes, we need MORE people who just stand by and say nothing. Let's give the SOB that ran her down a prize!

I suspect that someone could post a thread about the discovery of a quasar in some distant galaxy, and you’d still be wondering the same thing.

Ya reckon? LOL

Got his .ss

24-year-old Abdelaziz Hamze was taken from Delta flight 132, bound from New York’s JFK airport to Greece, after BSO was given a tip he was the driver of the car which killed 44-year-old Sandra Hall Sunday night.

I saw the perp, no wonder CNN was reluctant to identify him. Wouldn’t surprise me if they bought his frickin’ plane ticket.

Are you nuts? The guy who ran her down had ALREADY committed a criminal act by leaving the scene. What would make some woman want to confront the criminal and not just get his license plate and call the cops?

"...we need MORE people who just stand by and say nothing."

Are you telling me you would have chased after him and THEN stood in front of his van like a target?

First thing that come to mind is Rachel *Cor*rie*. Anyone who purposely stands in front of a moving vehicle is asking for trouble.

She may have had road rage. Any bystander would have thought “has she lost her mind” by her actions.

She crossed my mind too. What this poor lady did was such poor judgment, it’s hard to process it, which certainly doesn’t mean that she deserved to die such an ugly horrid death. I hope this guy never sees the light of day again.

Anger and adreneline can make folks do some mighty foolish things. I’m a testament to that! It’s amazing I made it to the half century mark....
