No Sheff, the current dearth of "African American" MLB players is simply due to the fact that, as a group, they're not as interested in baseball as they once were. ....especially in comparison to basketball and football. The reasons for this are varied, but marketing has a lot to do with it.

Not really any English coming out of Gary Sheffield either. It's not often you see the words "theory" and "professional baseball player" or "athlete" in the same story. Now we know why.

Sheffield is a POS. We had him in Milwaukee for a while. He wanted to be traded and refused to put any effort in his performance. He was horrible to young fans who approached him. Hasn’t their also been questions about steroids with him. I’d say if we only see black Latin faces it’s because they are better players.
