Thanks for your enthusiastic assessment Soaring. I had thought this tour was a little on the bland side! But you and Lady Jag both seemed to like it rather well.
I had to jump back and forth as I took the pictures of the foods, as people were constantly walking up and down the walk way. As a result, the food pictures are not of the clarity I had hoped for, it's so easy to blur the digital camera shots! Just move a hair and it will blur.
Very nice rousing summary poem in post #24. I can almost hear them chanting that one around the tables in Val Halla! (don't ask me why I said that, it's just what came to mind!) ;-)

See the bonfire in the back? Each and every year the Finnish people celebrate Summer Solstice (Juhannus) with several days of festivities.
On the Solstice the only time the sun does not set in Finland, a large bonfire is prepared on a raft in the middle of a lake. It is set on fire at dusk!
