The only real problem was that they essentially re-used the script from Shrek 2. The animation is incredible, and points to a near future when we can retire most Hollywood actors and just use animated characters in most films - allowing gifted young filmmakers to do everything on their computers. This may not decrease the level of Leftist propaganda within the films, but at least animated characters aren’t going bash Republicans in their spare time to maintain their “street cred”. ;)

The Pink Mafia is desperate to get everyone believing that the abnormal is really normal.

In the second movie, the character is identified as the ugly stepsister. That is the only explanation I feel it is necessary to give my kids. She is just a really, really ugly stepsister.

start your own thread
this one is about he-she’s being the worst part of the film

So did the movie say right out the character was trans-gendered or are people assuming this because of the appearance? (I have’t seen the movie, honestly curious how this was presented..)

He had man hands (Seinfield reference) and a man’s voice. All in a muscular female body.

In the second movie (I have not yet seen the third), the king goes into the bar looking for someone to “take care” of Shrek for him. He goes up to the bar and says he is looking for the “Ugly Stepsister”. This character turns around and identifies herself as such. She eventually sends him to Puss in Boots. She has a man’s voice, and she looks like a guy in a dress, I guess, but I just got the feeling they were going for as ugly a woman as possible, and therefore went with a really masculine chick.
If they are pushing the transgender agenda, my kids don’t know it. They just think it’s funny because the chick is so ugly that she has whiskers (she has a constant 5 o’clock shadow, IIRC). I haven’t bothered going further into it, I feel that if I tried bring up the transgender thing, they wouldn’t even get it. They have no experience with it.

I will say, however, that while I didn’t have to explain the ugly stepsister thing, it was awkward during the second movie trying to explain why Pinocchio was wearing women’s underwear (a thong).

I saw the movie and loved it. I haven’t met anyone who saw it and thought Dreamworks was trying to promote trans-genders with this character. Everyone was laughing at them because it was gross. No one thought, hey I should do that. It was a mockery of those kinds of people.
