First, This article clearly misidentifies the intent of What KBR is to do. The Camps are NOT detention camps, and the buffoon from DHS that said that should be fired. The facilities are migrant camps for displaced persons.

Period.

This I know because I work very closely with KBR on these issues.

THEY ARE NOT DETENTION Facilities.

THEY ARE camps for displaced persons in the event of a contingency - like the aftermath of a Hurricane.

Halliburton's press release tells a different story:

The contract, which is effective immediately, provides for establishing temporary detention and processing capabilities to augment existing ICE Detention and Removal Operations (DRO) Program facilities in the event of an emergency influx of immigrants into the U.S., or to support the rapid development of new programs.
