I use a Cingular 8125 and am looking at various phones for an upgrade (I want more speed). In my opinion, a hard drive is a liability for a PDA phone - it adds a breakable moving part that is better dispensed with by increasing the flash memory. I don’t want to replace my phone, I want it to last. Hard drives wont, unless they sit on your desk and don’t get carried around. I have cheap land line phones and a desktop PC for the only situation in which the hard drive is not going to crap out.

(Note: Makes sense
at the 4 and 8 gig sizes, the Nano size premium is only 50 dollars
why would the iPhone be 100?) Because people are willing to pay $100 extra for it.

Sounds pretty and everything, but I’ll stick with my $39 phone.

A lot of that sounds great (although I would wonder if Wireless N would kill the battery life), but if it doesn’t have a way to use it as a modem for a MacBook/MacBook Pro, then it’s useless to me. I’ll stick with my cheaper Windows smartphone/PDA.
