I have been discussing the amnesty bill with several people ancd the question I keep getting is how I expect to deport 12 million illegals.
So I have been trying without luck to get a reference for how many have been deported over the last few years.
A good source I could cite with certainty should help a great deal.
That is a “trick” question, because if we enforced the employer sanctions on every one that hires an illegal soon enough they would hire US citizens or legal immigrants and the Mexicans would go home themselves .
What I am trying to do is prove to them that, yes, it is possible to deport them all. The argument seems to be that it can’t be done and it seems to me that, if you greatly reduce the influx, you can deport those currently here.
But a better question would be how many illegal aliens were caught and then released then skipped out on their deportation hearing? There should be an active arrest on sight warrant for each of them ... arrest on sight ... jail time ... then deport ... with no hope of ever being allowed into this country legally! That is why we need the WALL!
Exactly. What I am trying to do is show roughly how long it would take to actually deport those here illegally IF we stopped their return.
Even if we catch the same guy 4 time in a year, for example, that would count 4 times. But if you stop the influx now instead of catching Guy X 4 times, we catch him once and 3 others as well.
I want a response to those who say it is just not practical to deport 12 million people.
If you can’t get a job and can’t earn a living or you aren’t eligible for unemployment, what do you do? You move to where you can make a living.
That would be back to their country of origin. Hondurans aren’t allowed to work in Mexico so the would move back to Honduras, Guatemalans would go back to Guatemala, Mexicans back to Mexico, Pakistanis back to Pakistan.
See how it would work?
that 12 million number has been etched in stone for the last 3 years, so does that mean we’ve completely shut down the border ?
We should rename the Eisenhower plan “Operation Adios” and give volunteers long bambo poles, like in Planet of the Apes...then start beating the brush to flush ‘em out. (yes, this part is sarcastic...kind of)
In fiscal 1999, the Immigration and Naturalization Service and other agencies intercepted at or near the border and deported approximately 1.6 million people trying to enter the country illegally or found ineligible for entry. But once illegal aliens get past the border, enforcement of U.S. immigration laws virtually stops. In 1999, the INS managed to deport only 72,000 illegal aliens who were willing to leave .voluntarily, and another 47,000, who left involuntarily after proceedings. That total, 119,000, is only about 1.08% of the total number of illegals that Northeastern University estimated are now living in the United States.
These statistics may not help your argument much.
Actually you don’t have to find each and every one of them individually. Just find the employers!
But, with proper border controls, would we be able to focus more efforts on the people already here is what I wonder.
That I can understand.
Now, how many additional officers would we need to enforce the employment laws, or do we have enough and just aren’t doing it?
An all incompassing bill will never work or be funded properly ...
Anyone with half a brain knows the first step ... BUILDING THE WALL (a real wall ... concrete, 30-40 ft. high, total lenght of our Southern border). Fund it! Build it!
>Now, how many additional officers would we need to enforce the employment laws, or do we have enough and just arent doing it?<
You got it, we aren’t doing it.
The question to ask doubters is;
How many children would dress up for Halloween if they didn’t get free candy?
Then ask;
How many foreigners would come to the US if there was no jobs and no social benefits, ie., schools, doctors, birth rights, subsidized housing, etc. waiting here for them?
“like in Planet of the Apes..”
LOL! THEY CUT OUT HIS BRAIN!.....so he couldn’t babble in Spanish.
