Watching the Yanks/Mets game Sunday night they showed this. The grounds keeper was as surprised as the poor little kitty.

Nothing funny here. How would like to be rolled-up in a mat for who knows how long?

Yeah, poor kitty actually. I just can’t imagine how that even happened. Usually small cats like that are more agile than to get rolled up, no matter how tired.

It survived and it is the sort of thing my dumb cat would end up doing. I dunno how cats have survived as a species if my cat is an example! :)

I’d think it was likely placed there. Although, my growing up cat did hide in the clothes drier once.. Loud THUMP THUMP and I ran over, and my mom opened the door and he sprang out.
Never did that again. My current cat, I take precautions like nuts.

Given my cats' prowess at teleporting into locked rooms, I can easily believe that this video is genuine.

One of mine used to jump in the dishwasher. How we avoided disaster, I don’t know. Once I close it, heard the meow, and got him out before starting the dishwasher. I can believe this little kitty found what he thought was a nice secure place for a nap, until they unrolled it. Just like something some of my cats over the years might have done.

Our kitty has a new habit. He follows me to our car, either climbs in before we can close the door or sits in back of one of the tires.

Wow, sure sounds like a dangerous new habit. Good luck with the little fella.

I keep the litter box now right in front of the drier, but.. I don’t leave the drier open ever. I keep my eye on the kitty.
The worst was one night she managed to escape, and it was a stormy night as it went on. I slept through it, and woke up, it was still dark.. I looked around, no cat. Went outside and started calling.. Heard a tiny meow in the distance. She was on someone else’s apartment window, trying to get in. They all looked the same, and it was on the far side of my bedroom.
Ever since, the priority is protection.
