The Savage DePalma

Everyone remembers Louie DePalma from the TV series Taxi. Although no fool, Louie is the mean, lecherous, sexist, selfish, and crude little man who uses his position in the Sunshine Cab Company to intimidate, badger, and punish the smarter and better looking in the cast. One cannot but marvel at how this character parallels the radio character Michael Savage played by Michael Weiner. The only discernable difference is that Danny Devito was better looking and wasnt serious.

Well that’s very interesting, was there a particular trigger event that prompted this post today?
I’ve watched enough episodes of ‘Taxi’ to be familiar with the characters, shall we presume you don’t particularly like Michael Savage?

I was wondering what contemporary radio personalities those 70s sitcom characters resembled. Thanks for posting.

"...shall we presume you don't particularly like Michael Savage?" I can't speak for Natural Law, but anyone who claims to be a Conservative, yet thinks it is OK to honor a RAT funding faux-Conservative who advocates the impeachment of President Bush, is as much a nut case as is Der Wiener.

Must be a McCain supporter. Mr. Savage is going to have a field day with the new immigration bill.

I’ve completely lost interest in that phony Savage. Like dealing with a petulant child the best way to discourage Savage is to simply ignore him. Like the proverbial tree falling in the forest, if Savage has a moronic rant and no one is listening, did he actually make a sound? The answer is who gives a $hit. 224 posted on 05/16/2007 9:09:30 PM PDT by Natural Law [ Post Reply | Private Reply | To 196 | View Replies | Report Abuse ]
That was your post only yesterday so now you start a thread about Savage today? What a difference a few hours make!
To: Natural Law
They're both damn funny.

I was wondering what contemporary radio personalities those 70s sitcom characters resembled. Besides, I think Savage reminds me more of the "Exidor" character from the Mork and Mindy show.

"Mr. Savage is going to have a field day with the new immigration bill." I listened to Wiener on the way home today. On the immigration issue, Wiener is 99% correct, which is one of the few subjects where he is consistent.
On other issues, he flips and he flops, like the War on Terror for example. One day he wants to nuke the middle east, the next day he wants all the troops home, the next day he wants Bush impeached.
Wiener is King to the "one issue" morons.
