The courts exempted O.J.s football retirement money from the Goldman settlement. Why? I have no idea.

The courts exempted O.J.s football retirement money from the Goldman settlement. Why? I have no idea.

My understanding is that it wasn't the courts, but that Florida law exempts retirement pensions from being attached as payment for civil judgments. That's why OJ moved from California to Florida.

I believe all retirement and 401k’s are exempt from civil judgment.
