Me too. If his ashes aren’t being scattered into space, then I fail to see the point of the exercise. It probably has more to do with tracking the spacecraft they are on. We have to track all near-earth objects so we can make sure it doesn't collide w/ satellites or other spacecraft.

I agree — a proper send-off would have been to cast his remains adrift into space from the ISS (complete with bagpipe farewell)...
