I know it's only the start of May, but it's never too early for fantasy football analysis, is it?
Today marks the beginning of our long and arduous journey to fantasy football draft day 2007. Sign up to be notified when the 2007 FOXSports.com game goes live.
Our path will be fraught with injury and personnel concerns, and the inevitable change of heart for players once the pads start popping in July. However, it's only appropriate in the week following the draft to take stock of the goings on and begin the preparation for a fantastic season ahead.
Let's begin this road with a look at the quarterback position. I'm whetting the appetite with a look at my top-15. I'll expand and refine the list as the glorious day approaches. Until then, here's a look at the incomparable Peyton Manning.

I can’t see Vick in the top anything, much less the top 15. He and Eli Manning are ranked too high.
Manning may be the best in Fantasy football, but in real football, I’ll take Tom Brady any day. 3 super bowl rings, Super Bowl MVP twice, 12 - 2 in the playoffs, 7 - 0 in overtime...
This upcoming season he’ll have a significantly better recieving group with Daunte Stallworth, Randy Moss, and Wenker.
It will be interesting to watch...

For your list...
Kitna is probably a bit low after coming off a 4200 yard perfomance last year and having a big upgrade at the WR position. He could be a real steal if people keep him that low. Brady maybe a bit high, but this is the first time he has had really talented recievers to throw to. My top 6 would be Peyton, Palmer, Brees, Bulger, Brady, McNabb, and Kitna.
A baker’s six.
Speaking of Manning, he and his wife attended the WH white tie dinner for Queen Elizabeth. I had no idea that he was married ... I’m not entirely surprised but I was under the impression he was still a bachelor.
I had Kitna on a couple of my teams last year... he was pathetic! Waayyy too many turnovers (especially when they count as -3 pts!). Even with an upgrade at WR, I’m staying away from him this year.
Sure, he put up 4200 yards, but he had over 30 turnovers, and he was dropped 63 times... And survived.
I’ll hand it to him... he’s tough. If you’re in a yardage-heavy league, he may have some value - since he’s going to have close to 600 pass attempts.
I just can’t rate a 30-turnover guy very highly, though.
I had never heard of his wife either. Articles left the impression he was single.
Huh. Interesting, Romo’s 13th. Has anyone told the powers-that-be over at ESPN about this? I seem to remember last November it was all Romo all the time type coverage out of them.
We only get -1 for int, so it don’t hurt too much.
Favre still has gas in his tank. Look for him to guide the Packers to a 13-3 season, lock up home-field advantage in the playoffs, and come-from-behind in the Super Bowl against the Pats again! Then he’ll retire and tend to his beloved lawn in Mississippi.
It’s been alleged that he keeps his ‘walkin around stash’ in his water bottle...
I could see the Falcons trading him to the Bengals for Palmer... Vick looks like he’d fit right in with Bengal ‘community values’
Nothing against Cincinnati, but their football team is turning into last decade’s Cowboys...
I'll have you know Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis are now recruiting with the intangible quality called 'character' in mind ... not sure they know what the results will be football wise ... but they're making the effort.
How many Super Bowls has Cincinnati won?
