This is a non-story. As governor, of course he will give serious consideration to any petitions she might submit. He would do the same for any citizen.

The headline would make you think he's taken special interest in the case, until you get to this part of the article:
"The governor will certainly pay attention to it and act accordingly," McLear said. "He will treat it seriously, like we do all other requests for his help."
