David Hasselhoff's visitation rights to see his children have been suspended.
A Los Angeles judge temporarily barred the former 'Baywatch' star from visiting daughters Taylor-Ann and Hayley on Monday (07.05.07), following the emergence of a videotape showing him drunk in Taylor-Ann's presence.
Superior Court Judge Mark Juhas said: "This videotape changes the landscape, it just does."
Hasselhoff - a recovering alcoholic - was not present at the hearing, but ex-wife Pamela Bach attended.
The sanction will remain in place until May 21, when another child custody hearing has been set.
In Christopher Anderson’s book — “George and Laura”. He drank even after they were married.....anderson credits Laura and her strength for GW overcoming his drinking problems. GW has been sober for some 20+ years. Great book if you have not read it!
One thing that you can say for Hasselhoff, is that as totally out of it as he was, there seemed to be an absolute absence of any malice or hostility within him.
He definitely has a problem letting himself get like that in front of his daughter, but as someone that believes that you learn a lot about a person when they are drunk, I was kind of impressed with the video.
I hope he can fix his alcohol problem.
I’m from Texas, I know that married men drink, even women, it is the diagnosis of alcoholism that I am unaware of.
George Bush was never an alcoholic, and it serves no good end for people to try to pin that slander on him.
I don’t agree or disagree, I don’t know him personally so I am only repeating what I read in one of is biographies. The whole subject was done in good taste and showed him in a good light. As for being a full blown alcoholic, I doubt it. Episodes of drinking, believable.
“I dont agree or disagree, I dont know him personally so I am only repeating what I read in one of is biographies”
I know and I’m not meaning to sound like you attacked him, this is just one those things that I like to correct when it comes up.
I guess the only one who can really clear it up is President Bush himself. The book is out there, he hasn’t sued for slander. I suspect there is some truth to it as we all ready agreed upon. I find it hard to believe with all he has acomplished that he had that serious a problem.
“I guess the only one who can really clear it up is President Bush himself. The book is out there, he hasnt sued for slander”
There isn’t anything to clear up, Bush is not a alcoholic and President’s don’t sue for slander over things like this.
If you or anyone else can show that Bush has been diagnosed as alcoholic, please share it.
-the point is that none of us can answer FOR him....I have no idea of his past but what I have read. His present behaviour is all that concerns me, and that is fine up to illegal immigration and borders. I have no desire to argue how big a problem he did or didn’t have. Have a nice day.
No, the point is, quit spreading the falsehood that President Bush is an alcoholic, that is the only point.
Quit trying to spread a lie. It is up to you to prove your nasty accusation, it is not up to the President to offer proof that he has never been diagnosed as something that he isn’t.
Source = Christopher Andersons book George and Laura. It can be bought pretty cheap on the internet.
Stop stalking me. I do not go around sliming Bush....it came up on a thread about a man with a drinking problem with Bush as a role model. YOU are making a mountain out of a mole hill and sound unbalanced to me and I am requesting YOU stop posting to me.
I made all the concessions I am going to make on this subject. This conversation is over. Have a good day.
Good, I always like to clear up that false accusation against the President.
Thanks I think.
Not sure what you posted as I am a lowly old web tv user.
No access to you tube.
It’s really bad music & videos “The Hoff” made some years back. Songs like “Hooked on a Feelin” & “Secret Agent Man”.
Ahah!
Being an old webtv user saved me.
lol
Baldwin needs to get a clue from his youngest bro who is on fire for the Lord.
Baldwin plays the victem of his own bad tempermant/anger.
Hasselhoff is trying to come to terms with and fight his drinking problem.
Or so it seems.
Does anyone know what kind of personality Kim B his ex has.
I was under the impression that she may be airy/clueless no fault of her own and he berate her for that as being a selfish pig.
Is the Baldwin/Bassinger kid their natural child or adopted?
Might explain things if she is from the fruit tree.
I am surprized Hoff’s 16 yr old has not been given the choice of which parent to live with at that age.
I have heard him joke about his drinking in a round about way too.
One distinct memory of him referring to his upper education days as a period of heavy drinking and his drinking to be a fun guy and now he relizes that was not a reason to drink all those years.
Also have heard he showed up at the hosp. when the twins were born having come from obvious drinking and Mrs. Laura told him right there and then no more George or the twins will not grow up with you in their lives. So he sobered up and has 20 yrs plus under his belt.
Thanks for the back-up. :^) I love the president and meant no disrespect to him. He made a decision to stop drinking and he did it. He is to be admired.
It’s a draw between Baldwin and Hoff, but Hoff knows he has a problem; Baldwin is a rage-a-holic in total denial.
My husband has been clean and sober since 2000. He’s back to the wonderful guy I married. He also quit smoking a year ago with no relapses.
I’m proud of him, but we went To Hell and Back to get this problem taken care of; it took me calling the cops and having him physically removed from our home to make him see the seriousness of the problem.
Alcoholism is often a symptom of clinical depression, as it was in my husband’s case. Once his brain chemicals were brought into line, he had no need to self-medicate any longer.
I’ve never met a chronic drunk (it runs in my family) that didn’t have depression issues as well.
Hoff should look into that. The people that look like they “have it all” (as did my husband from the outside, looking in) have the same problems we all can have in Life.
