Whadda you know...this certainly shakes the old evolution “tree of life” theory, doesn’t it? Next, we’ll find those simple amoebas will have more genes than apes and humans and we’ll have to listen to evolutionists explain that curious aspect of their religion to us. There are many fascinating surprises in the future as we study genes with our new technology. Will evolution survive this new scientific knowledge, or will the true believers not be swayed by scientific evidence?

People have been saying that Intelligent Design proponents do not produce scientific studies to back up their thesis. Here is one interesting study that can be made.

Many ID proponents have theorized that species as we see them today came as a result of programs that were FRONT LOADED from the beginning that have been working themselves out beginning with far more DNA than is needed.

I can forsee this leading to combing the DNA for the coding to proteins that are needed for say, the eye...

What interests me personally is this -— What are the implications of this with regards to information ?

I often conceive of information in DNA in a way that is akin to that of, say a blueprints for a building. It’s a crude comparison, I’ll grant you… but it shows how information should relate to DNA complexity.

Related to this, there also have been studies that show how some BACTERIA living in the gut of the surgeon fish is found to have have 300 times more DNA than Human Cells. See here :

No.

The theory of evolution has nothing to fear from scientific evidence. Scientists are not the ones who fear new discoveries, nor are they the ones who seek only to deny or belittle them.

"Whadda you know...this certainly shakes the old evolution “tree of life” theory, doesn’t it?

Why? The 'ladder' of life or the idea that there is some direction to evolution was discarded a very long time ago. That is why it is described as a tree, not a ladder. No one but anti-evolutionists believe that evolution implies a direction.

BTW, the fact that on the tree of life we are near the top has nothing to do with our position as superior beings, it is simple convention that the most recent species are at the top and the least recent near the bottom. It could very easily be the reverse.

"Next, we’ll find those simple amoebas will have more genes than apes and humans and we’ll have to listen to evolutionists explain that curious aspect of their religion to us.

It been been known for a long time that Amoeba dubia has a far longer genome than we do.

You seem to of the opinion that the ToE depends on humans being the most advanced organism. That is silly, there are quite a few organisms with longer genomes than us, why should we be surprised if some have more genes?

There are many fascinating surprises in the future as we study genes with our new technology. Will evolution survive this new scientific knowledge, or will the true believers not be swayed by scientific evidence?

Interestingly, and contrary to those with the overpowering urge to validate their religion by somehow disproving the ToE, the ToE leads us to make predictions about what should be found in the genome, including the idea that loss of gene number is as likely as gain of gene number, that have so far been correct. This doesn't sound like a science in jeopardy.
