People have been saying that Intelligent Design proponents do not produce scientific studies to back up their thesis. Here is one interesting study that can be made.
Many ID proponents have theorized that species as we see them today came as a result of programs that were FRONT LOADED from the beginning that have been working themselves out beginning with far more DNA than is needed.
I can forsee this leading to combing the DNA for the coding to proteins that are needed for say, the eye...
What interests me personally is this -— What are the implications of this with regards to information ?
I often conceive of information in DNA in a way that is akin to that of, say a blueprints for a building. It’s a crude comparison, I’ll grant you… but it shows how information should relate to DNA complexity.
Related to this, there also have been studies that show how some BACTERIA living in the gut of the surgeon fish is found to have have 300 times more DNA than Human Cells. See here :

Frontloading “genetic seeds” with such information would be an obvious way to engage in long distance space travel.
