TALKING about hot weather, we go it, no wind, just that stuffy feeling, hot as can be and, this is my kind of weather I like.
Ms. lysie, got my flowers planted yesterday, I am really looking forward to the blooming of the Iris’s.
Gotta tell you, I am really enjoying our little church, like the ‘little church in the wild-wood’, always busy for the older folks, yet always busy for the youth and the ones in between. I know it has gotten my back into my youth speeches on drug abuse and that really feels good, like I do have something to offer and that is important for us older folks.
Update on my wee little flock, lost one yesterday and I don’t know how, just graveyard dead in the pen, of course I am going to have to replace here if they still have soom chicks at the store, might even get a couple of geese, good watch dogs ya know.
Pretty soon we are going to have to take out a loan at the bank to fill up the ole car with gas, something amiss here, taking advantage of us and that reminds me, I got to get some gas for the mower and tiller (if I can get that fixed, SIL I have faith in).
Well, gotta run and get some vittles (grits with two eggs on them for strength for my yard word), make a big ole jug of Gatorade and get with it. Here is hoping that all have a good day, or, the kind of day YOU want to have, after all, it is yours.
By the way, thanks to all for just who you are, you bring many a smile to my face and heart.
Toby
Wow, Toby. That was a lot of planting.
I hope they give you as much pleasure as they do me.
Good morning, Toby and all
Got my walk in first thing this morning. I also got all my flower beds, planters, and the tiny garden patch watered too.
Jemian, hope you are feeling much better. Bet you do a lot of shaking and rolling over there.
Toby, thanks for reminding me that I need gas for the mower!
Molly, thanks for articles to read.
Miss Marple, we have a new outdoor stray cat for the neighborhood, my neighbor brought it home from his fishing trip. It is pretty skinny now but hopefully will fill out with some steady food and loving. We hope the cat will keep the possums out of our yards...and maybe the bunnies too.
