Strange Craft (Clear UFO Photos? Updates at Post #307, #489, #502, #601 & #712-Chad to speak!)
Coast to Coast AM ^ | 5/6/07 | Chad

For everyone who complains that all UFO photos are blurry...

Last month (April 2007), my wife and I were on a walk when we noticed a very large, very strange "craft" in the sky. My wife took a picture with her cell phone camera (first photo below). A few days later a friend (and neighbor) lent me his camera and came with me to take photos of this "craft". We found it and took a number of very clear photos. Picture #4 is taken from right below this thing and I must give my friend credit as I was not brave enough to get close enough to take this picture myself!

The craft is almost completely silent and moves very smoothly. It usually moves slowly until it decides to take off. Then it moves VERY quickly and is out of sight in the blink of an eye. MORE THAN ANYTHING I simply want to understand what this is and why it is here?

We found your show with Google and I have listened for a few nights now. I have decided that if anyone can help me understand what this thing is, it is you and your audience. I must admit I am deeply unsettled by this thing. I have never seen anything like this in my life... Location: I would prefer not to say for now.

Oh, I'm not Chad...

I’m pretty sure the text at the tip of that wing says, “NO STEP”.

Sadly, I don't even know Chad. He just sent the images to Coast to Coast AM, where I picked them up.

Most people think C2C/ArtBell, et al. is pure drek.

I think it's a goldmine:

Tons of ore, grams of gold...

I've been through each book at least once, and I've been through selected books (Genesis, Exodus, Kings, Chronicles, the Samuels, the major prophets, and the gospels) multiple times.

In the interest of honesty, I will tell you that I've never sat down and read the entire thing sequentially, mostly because it's not a novel; different parts of it serve different purposes. However, I have both read and studied every book.

So you don't read it daily, or nearly everyday?

Do you believe the Bible to be a comprehensive document, containing every answer to every question? Or even every cosmological question?

Are you honestly asking me if I think I can find the spark plug gap for my Harley in the bible?

Fact is, the Bible doesn't contain either passage, nor anything like them. It doesn't explicitly address the topic at all. For anyone to claim that it does, in either direction, is dishonest.

I disagree and again I cite Marianism as the example of how the Bible is not to be used. The bible never says that Mary is able to :

Hear prayers, provide special intercession as the Mother of the Son of God, that she is the Mother of God, that she is the mother of the church, that she is the Queen of Heaven, that she was immaculately conceived, that she was ever virgin, the dispenser of all grace, that she gave birth while keeping a hymen intact, or that she is our co-redeemer, that she appears to people with messages, that she makes statues bleed, that she performs miracles from heaven,

The bible never says that she can. Using your logic the bible either needs to specifically say that she can or that she can't. Using the bible it says not to add a word or detract a word from it. It also says of itself that it is, well it's so wonderful that words excape me. Anyone that sees it as that wonderful won't look for ways around it.

You see, DM, this is just exactly what I'm talking about. I didn't speak to that question at all, and there you are trying to draw conclusions about me that the text I wrote you simply doesn't say anything one way or the other.

I crack my bible two or three times a week, typically. My most recent personal study was on Romans, and before that Galatians. At the moment, though, I'm really wondering why the conversation has shifted away from biblical cosmology and onto my bible study habits.

It's starting to look as though you think a personal attack, or a battle of credentials, might be a better tactic than trying to defend your exegesis.

Which, about that...I've seen precious little of it. Why don't you cite a few biblical passages and tell us how they apply, and what they mean vis-a-vis potential life on other planets?

Are you honestly asking me if I think I can find the spark plug gap for my Harley in the bible?

Well, I wondered. Because I know for a fact that you can't look in the Bible and find the spark plug gap for your Harley, or the distance in miles from Pasadena to Bakersfield, or the incubation period of dengue fever in humans, or whether there's life on other planets.

Sheesh! Why doe this nonsense about me being a supposedly former Mormon occur? Amazing. You are not the first to jump to this erroneous conclusion. Some ... have been fiercely convinced I was a Mormon ... falsely. Crazy.

You might consider rewriting that 'home page statement' to make it easier to follow.

The bible never says that she can [do all the things Mary is purported to do]. Using your logic the bible either needs to specifically say that she can or that she can't.

No. Using my logic, I would say that any claim you make that Christianity definitely excludes the possibility of life on other planets (or that Mary is the Mary of the Marianists) would have to be an argument based on your own reason, a tradition of the church, or other extra-biblical sources...that if the Bible says nothing on the topic, then we in reasoning on it must be honest and forthright in admitting that the Bible says nothing on the topic. If you want to make such an argument, fine...but cite your sources, please.

In fact, the Bible does say that Mary conceived a child by the Holy Spirit, as was prophesied. As for her being our co-redeemer, that would be a very significant point for the Bible to leave out, as redemption is a function of the Godhead.

To me the very points you cite are not arguments in favor of a particular exegetical method, but rather arguments (powerful ones) against Marianism.

To add to the intrigue/paranoia, within the circle to the right of the lettering on the craft’s tail (as well as elsewhere on the craft) is what passes for more than a faint resemblance to the “Cross Symbol” used by the Church of Scientology.

There isn't much difference between my asking you about your belief in the bible and you asking me about my belief in the bible. We are both searching for the same things and are not trusting the other's purpose in asking. You accuse me of thinking the bible has harley stuff and I suspect you may not think that it has many answers at all. So shall we just be offended with each other for asking?

Are you familiar with the scripture that says that the stars were made on the 4th day of creation? Does that really mean nothing to you about the significance of the Earth vs the stars?

To me it looks more like a mechanical fitting, or arguably, a stylize Japanese chrysanthemum:

Significance? Sure. From that significance, can I draw conclusions about whether or not the rest of Creation is populated by God's creatures?

No. I think it's making the text say more than it says, or likely is meant to say.
