Mabel says newspaper reports about Lady Duff-Gordon were "quite untrue, for she has not seen one reporter, her lawyer strictly forbidden it, so everything about her is a concocted tale. Nice to see the media hasn't changed much.

This is why people should never get their history lessons from Hollywood. James Cameron turned the tragedy of the Titanic into a rich vs. poor class struggle with the evil capitalists exploiting the virtuous underpriviliged.
In reality, many of the “evil capitalists” on the Titanic were the most heroic. But that doesn’t play today...
