Duets with dead people are creepy. I thought the same thing when Natalie Cole “Unforgettable” with her Dad.

The (late) Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole did it first (for the song/video “Unforgettable”). Maybe 1990 or so.

Where’s AI’s originality?

Elvis is dead? I saw him about 2 weeks ago at a Circle K in Moab, Utah. He’s gained weight and had a hip replacement but otherwise looked OK.

I thought I saw Elvis selling used hubcaps at the Greene County flea Market. And yes,he has packed on a few.

And of course the biggest travesty of all, Kenny G’s “duet” with Satchmo on “What a Wonderful World.”

Which led to one of the best rants ever from Pat Metheny on Kenny G.

That was great. Would have been better if it was just Elvis, but great nonetheless.

I actually found it a bit creepy too. Because Elvis seemed to be pausing for Celine to do her verses, I actually thought it might be an Elvis impersonator. But Elvis had such a “glow” about him, I knew it had to be the real thing — on tape. It’s still a little too weird for my taste.
