I do like BSG, but I still think that B5 is the best Sci-Fi show out there..

Interesting. Is Walter Koenig in it?

Sadly, no G'Kar. sigh.
He was my favorite since the first time I watched the show.

It was the episode with Michael York, playing a character who thought he was King Arthur. While saving a damsel in distress and somewhat cornered, G'Kar observed and jumped into the middle of it. I pretty much thought, "Okay, now this guy, I like."

I love B5, I don’t know if it’s better then BSG but I like it better. BSG is good but B5 has more character or something, that je ne se qua, or I don’t know what... Something.

It has carte blanche but not a blank check.

Sorry, I got a little silly there at the end after looking up how to spell je ne se qua. The second paragraph is from Fulci’s The Beyond.

I loved the first three seasons of B5 (Shadow War). The last two were terrible.

B5 was a great show! I look forward to seeing this new offering!

BTW, it was fun to work on too! Everyone was very nice. Even got to be a Ranger at least once. I enjoyed B5, because unlike other shows, there was true diversity. You didn’t have to be a skinny actor or actress to work.

Sheridan: “I want you to teach me how to fight them. How to beat them. Because sooner or later, I’m going to Z’ha’dum and I’m going to stop them.”
Kosh: “If you go to Z’ha’dum, you will die.”
Sheridan: “Then I die. But I will not go down easy, and I will not go down alone. You will teach me?”
Kosh: “Yeeeessss.”

That episode always raised the goose bumps.

B5 is one of my all time favs.

This sounds interesting but Mira Furlan is not mentioned as a player in the new episodes. The show will be poorer without her.

“This is Ambassador Delenn of the Minbari. Babylon 5 is under our protection. Withdraw or be destroyed.”

“Negative. We have authority here. Do not force us to engage your ship.”

“Why not? Only one Human captain has ever survived battle with a Minbari fleet. He is behind me. You are in front of me. If you value your lives, be somewhere else!”

episode “Severed Dreams”

“We did what we did because it was right, not to be remembered. History will attend to itself, it always does.”

episode “Deconstruction of Falling Stars”

RIP G’kar. No performer ever expressed himself so well through so much latex and paint.

B5: The Lost TalesWritten and directed by show creator J. Michael Straczynski, this made-for DVD movie is a spectacular vision of B5 and New York City in the 23rd century as it uses the most innovative filmmaking technology, which was unavailable during the original series.

On an immense space station built by the Earth Alliance, the crew of Babylon 5 is charged with maintaining the peace among the various alien races by providing a sanctuary where grievances and negotiations can be worked out among duly appointed ambassadors. Babylon 5: The Lost Tales picks up the dramatic series in 2271A.D, ten years after John Sheridan is appointed President of the Interstellar Alliance.

The Lost Tales follows Sheridan as he prepares for a fateful Babylon 5 reunion that could prevent Earth's impending doom. Unfortunately, he is also forced to compromise his own principals in doing so. At the same time, commander Lochley confronts an unexpected interloper on the way station - a being whose presence makes the B5 freeport the crossroads between heaven and hell.

Babylon 5 garnered countless honors including two Emmys, two Hugo Awards, the Ray Bradbury Award from the Science Fiction Writers of America, the Saturn Award, five English Media 'Cult TV' Awards, the Sci-Fi Universe Reader Choice Award for Best TV Series and was the winner of the TV Guide Poll for Best Sci-Fi Show among others. The show also enjoyed 9 successful years in syndication, spawned five feature length TV movies, and now a made-for-video installment.

DVD special features include:

* Straczynski Diaries - a multi-part series of vignettes as filmed by J. Michael Straczynski as he documents every phase of pre-production, production and post- production for The Lost Tales. Viewers are given a first person, inside look at the creative process of making the Babylon5 film.

"Babylon 5: The Lost Tales has a richly imagined storyline and an extraordinary vision of the 23rd century created by the renowned J. Michael Straczynski. WHV is excited to release this made-for-video title that continues the storyline of Babylon 5, one of the most successful science fiction series of all time," said Jeff Brown, WHV, Senior Vice President and General Manager, TV, Animation and Family. "Although the show has been off the air for a few years, it continues to have a fervent fan base that is eager for this new installment."

Marketing Support
Babylon 5: The Lost Tales will be supported by extensive national media campaign including TV and Online advertising. Marketing support will also include significant presence at the San Diego ComicCon. Online podcasts and a completely new redesigned website will also deliver significant awareness.
