No WAY!
You’d think even if a person hadn’t seen a poodle, they’d notice that the sheep didn’t have feet like a dog. Do the Japanese have any dogs they don’t eat?

This is the funniest story I'll likely read today.
I guess sheep are cheaper than poodles. Who knew?

Is Rush reading FR more often live on radio???
Yesterday the “current” thread on Bawbawa Wawa and the Bush motorcade (including the improper attribution of Bawbawa saying “Do you know who I am, (Cha Cha)?”) was mentioned on Rush (and he had to give a correction later when it was discovered that one of the other Shrew members said “Did they know who you were?”)

the Standard explains that poodles are "extremely rare in Japan, with many people having little idea what they look like".You'd think clever people like the Japanese might have invented photographs by now.
Gorillas are very rare here in New Jersey, but I know what they look like.

Maiko Kawakami appeared on a TV talk show with snaps of her pet, and admitted she wondered why it "didn't bark and refused to eat dog food". Probably also wondered why her husband would spend hours locked in the bedroom with the "poodle." :0)

One has to wonder if the “Baaaaaaaaa” instead of the bark didn’t give them a clue! Too funny!

The Japanese don’t eat dogs. Very poor, rural Japanese ate dogs during WW2 out of desperation.
Dogs are eaten in Korea, parts of China, Siberia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines. I know it’s legal in North Korea. I think it’s an underground activity in the other places.

I would have to see a picture of those “poodles” after they were groomed to be able to understand how in the world they could have been so fooled. I can’t even imagine anyone not knowing the difference between sheep and poodles. They must be cute. ;o)
