I wonder if the site will offer any translations for lyrics in languages other than English? Even when a song is available in multiple languages, the different versions are often substantially rewritten and can be missing much of the original meaning. For example, from Les Miserables, the Original French Concept Album has:

I had dreamed of another life,
but life has shot down my dreams,
as one stifles the last cries
of an animal that one slaughters.

I had dreamed of a heart so big
that mine could within it find a place
but my first "Prince Charming"
was the assassin of my childhood.

The English version has:

I dreamed a dream in time gone by,
when hope was high and life worth living.
I dreamed that love would never die;
I dreamed that God would be forgiving.

Then I was young and unafraid,
and dreams were made and used and wasted.
There was no ransom to be paid;
no song unsung, no wine untasted.

Nothing particularly wrong with the English text, but it's interesting to see the original which is quite different.

Those are indeed quite substantive differences, and it would be nice to be able to see the different lyric versions as you say.

The Yahoo site isn't terribly helpful in this specific instance, leading me to Colm Wilkinson lyrics for Phantom of the Opera when I searched for Les Mis.

Hopefully the site will be improved upon in time, as such questions do matter for many people, including myself.
