LOL! Perhaps those passing through might be gullible enough to stop and take a look. Worth charging a quarter, don’t you think? And give a few teenagers a summer job?
LOL! I forget about the tourists! However, a teenager can only work in this state if they are 18. If less than 18 there are strict rules concerning hours, etc. But, we do have a large population of (ahem) migrant (ahem) workers who could do the job Americans won’t...
Great. Give them a bottle of Windex, a roll of paper towels, point them in the direction of Rosie’s jar, and say, “Go make clean!”
LOL! It's an excellent post and observation. :)
Thanks, my friend.
Actually our migrant workers mostly work in meat packing plants butchering hogs....
While I agree that Rosie has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, I have to disagree totally with your characterization of Simon... In the very few episodes I’ve seen he’s been completely honest, if blunt. The performers could sound like someone throwing live kittens into a wood chipper and the other two judges would smile and say “Oh, that was lovely!”
As far as the eye rolling goes, I didn’t see the episode in question but if the performer was attempting to exploit the tragedy to get more votes they deserved a great deal worse than an eye roll.
Well done. Now Rosie the Pig can go to her next disaster and spew her hatred.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Simon is a huckster. He’s supposed to be looking for talent. Any honest talent scout is going to have a screening process. He should be screening out these twerps who can’t sing, and weed them out before they even make it in front of a television.
But he doesn’t, does he? That’s what makes him a huckster and a phony.
Furthermore, he really does not know a lot about the voice. He knows more about what sells in popular music. Good for him. But he often passes off his vocal criticism as if he actually knows what he’s talking about. He clearly doesn’t.
Not sure if immediate or end of season.
I agree with both your scale and your assessment of the post. Silly has really got it going on, but loses 1 point for the pustule-popping. There are actually people who will PAY to see that. As evidenced by the hits on Rosie.com.
. . .6 FOOT . . .
MAN EATING
. .CHICKEN!. .
I only saw it up at two fairs. You pay your $.50 and go into the little booth and there is a man standing by a measuring stick. He is apparently 6 feet tall and as you come in he is biting a chicken leg and holding a plate of fried chicken. People go in and come out muttering about the ripoff or laughing uncontrollably. Either way they go drag everyone the know to see the 6 Foot Man Eating Chicken. It is a profitable joint.
That’s a great story.
Next, she comes out and says she's not going to do any more controversial stuff, which is, face it, the only reason she's there.
And now, a few short weeks after Imus' debacle, Rosie's leaving, as they say, "to pursue other career options/to spend more time with her family".
I hate it when my brain gets sucked into this tabloid crap, but I'd like to know what the background on this was. It sounds like she got steamrolled.
Good points.
Oh you big thilly!
That looks like peter griffin after he got de-boned.
I think your post is dead-on.
That's why I always say, that "I liked American Idol better when it was called 'The Gong Show.'" At least they had Gene Gene the Dancing Machine.
Or "Yo, Dog!"
