Read the book, “Father Elijah” for a good “fiction yarn” about this group or one like it. It is by Michael O’Brien who writes apocalyptic literature. It is a very chilling book.
As I recall from some reading, Madame Blavatsky was a real piece of work. She was involved in a great many things and had high contacts in a number of Orders at the turn of the century. If I recall correctly, she was one scary lady.

Yup. Just Google her, and you'll come up with a lot of creepy stuff. Her religion, "theosophy," probably had a significant influence on Alistair Crowley (a notorious occultist popularly described as "the wickedest man alive"), who wrote an introduction to one of her books. Interestingly, his work fascinated Jimmy Page, who bought Crowley's mansion after he died. And from there the New Age movement exploded.
J.K. Rowling even references Blavatsky in one of her "Harry Potter" books. Harry refers to a book written by "Cassandra Vlabatsky."
Read "Goddess Unmasked," by Philip G. Davis, for all you'll ever need to know about her and her "Theosophical Society."
