How about the Charleville musket?
Nope, meant the M1
That’s what I’m talking about.
I bought the Python new for $410 way, way back. My uncle, a pharmacist, also had a basement gun business and could order stuff for himself and his buddies. The gun is in 99 percent condition and “retired.” When I want to pop a cap, I blast away with my Glock .40 which has all the power I need.
A Tromix Saiga-12 8” SBS is my next acquisition. Until then, I’m happy with my Benelli M4 happily de-wuzzified.
...Nice, but there’s something about being ‘gas operated’ that just contributes to the manly essence of a weapon, a lawnmower, or just about anything else....
The coolest AT rifle ever made.
I see yours has the ski runners.
A perfect ski mobile weapon - able to defeat most small armor of the time, or detrack a KV1 or T-34.
And it punched through the weaker armor on the BT’s , T-28 and T-35’s.
“Mosin-Nagant”
This thing is a flame thrower that doubles as a hand cannon.
Browning Fabrique-Nationale in Sweet 16 with the gold trigger.................A keeper for future generations.....
Oh man, you nailed it! And I usually get powder burns on my trigger hand from the flash in the pan when it goes off. Funny how we muzzle stuffers know so much about our guns; mine is a 1780s style Rupp rifle with a custom 47" Getz swamped barrel, Deluxe Chambers lock and single trigger.
I do NOT recommend the following be done to any firearm but it's a great read with amazing pictures.
Garde la Foi, mes amis! Nous nous sommes les sauveurs de la République! Maintenant et Toujours!
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)
LonePalm, le Républicain du verre cassé (The Broken Glass Republican)
Nice to look at, but way to heavy.
ping a ling...
You can see an article about the XM-109 25mm Sniper Rifle here.
The last time that rifle had been fired, it was fired at a German soldier. Gotta love “the people’s rifle”.
Very rare, indeed!
No question about it. In many respects, the perfect shotgun. A nice one will set you back $1,000, if you can find it.
I have an early virginia style .54 cal flintlock. It’s a hoot to shoot. (I will admit the barrel is 36 inches, and not 42, but after all, I am a lady.)
I call her Longneedle.
THAT is one hard handled firearm. I could barely look at the pictures after the rock salt test.
I know, I know, my mistake.
