Quick hello all. Molly & ohio been raining here for about an hour. Had a great LONG walk with 2 dogs & my frirnd Patty.
Re: current situation at ATRW. It is always distressing to see folks come to emotional blows, which hurt a lot more than the physical ones often.
I am one who does not like dissent & run from it normally. In the flight & fight syndrome, I am normally the flight.
It seems that folks on this thread are in grief over a lot of things. When that happens anger is often misplaced & that can be true to a 4 day newbee or the owner of the forum. Just something to consider. Last I knew, NO ONE on the forum was perfect & without opportunities to be human
I have a lot of respect for all the posters at ATRW. I have had “run ins” with a few of you. I have had great get togethers with a few of you . Hurt feelings & happy times are part of all relationships.
Just again as I stated this morning want to let you all know that I think this is a valuable forum .. I disagree with with one guest re: substance missing. Yes, there are days of silliness, recipes & fun poking - but there are other days of tremendous sharing of insight politically.
The biggest SUBSTANCE of this thread is friendship.

I was gone all of last week, and just heard about your mom. May the Lord keep you and your family in the palm of His hand as you go through this sorrowful time.
I remember the many times kayak and I would talk late at night. She was always working hard in their business, usually on the payroll. And I will never forget her rants about the media. Kayak will be sorely missed in this life.

I want you to not presume my words are light ... they come very sparsely, these days ...only when I feel life is worth living a little .... lasting things are few and hard to find.

Yes, kayak died last week. It is a blessing in a way because she was in such pain toward the end. Her loving family was with her. Mr. kayak always at her side as was poppyseed her daughter.
Speaking of ant hills. I have a mega fire ant hill in the flower bed surrounding our flag pole. Poor Roomey, was trimming the Fairy Rose bush and stepped into a side of it and the fire ants came booming out of the nest like bang busters. I went to WalMart and got some fireant killer and hopefully does away with that hill. I’ve never seen an anthill to wide and high.
Tomorrow I’ll tell y’all about the fiasco on the 3rd green and 4th teebox. Murphey’s law set in like you wouldn’t believe. It’s ok now, I think, but it was something to watch.
Personally I’d rather stick with my kind of Atkins so I can have my queen olive marinated in a martini. The svelte figure of youth has become the middle aged spread of comfort.
