What are your plans for Earth Day?

Today is April 22, Earth Day.


Am I the only one who says WHO CARES???
Has it become "cool" to go green? I see it everywhere and I just don't understand.

The reason I ask is because I am a television producer. Recently in a meeting of story ideas.. the idea of how to go green was brought up.

Yeah yeah we'll tell people about different ways to save the environment, one person said. Keep in mind.. I live in a Very Conservative area. These people aren't your usual liberal tree huggers.

Why is Global Warming such a big issue? Or is it a fake issue? Global warning probably does exist. But there's nothing we can do about it. Global warning, from what I've read, happens on other planets like Saturn too.

I tend to think it's a made up issue. Shouldn't immigration be the number 1 issue? How about Iraq?

How about a Governor going 91 miles an hour down a highway with no regard for anyone's safety?

How about the fact that some kid just shot up a school.. and now gun grabbers will be going after our guns more than ever?

Muslims worship the moon, and treehuggers worship mother earth. Both groups are equally as dangerous to freedom loving Americans everywhere.

So in light of all this.. what are you doing for Earth Day? I'm gonna go gas up my SUV, fire up the gas grill, put gas in my SUV, and chop down a few trees.

I just watched a segment on Fox where they talked about how to go green in your home.

I watched it and learned some things.

Leave unused appliances plugged in ALL the time.

Wash all your clothes on the heat cycle.

Always dry dishes using the Dry cycle. Never let them dry on their own.

And don't forget to mow the grass today!!!!!

Pour old paint into the gutters.

Kick a cat.

Have my dog crap in a Snowy Plover hatchery.

Piss in a stream.

Burn a bucket of gas.

Burn a bucket of oil.

Have a barbecue.

smoke a cigar, grill some meat after an afternoon of practice out at the rifle/pistol range.....play with the kids and tell them that liberals are the greatest danger to our family.

All of it from the view point of 5800 sq feet of air-conditioned house with a gas heated pool....

In no particular order, burn off the back pasture(get rid of waste oil at the same time), burn out the tree stump in the fence line(get rid of some more waste oil and a couple of old tires), drain that low spot where all the cattails are growing, move the fence to let the cattle get water in the creek, spray the herbicide, and grill out after mowing the lawn. OOPS! I forgot the edging and the fogging around the house.

I promise to let the Excursion and the F250 idle in the driveway for an hour or so this afternoon. Since it’s raining, the only other thing I can do is turn on all five TVs and make sure each of the five kids is watching something different.

I did all the mowing and leaf blowing yesterday. If only I had an arc welder.

Unlike some here, I take my Earth Days seriously!

I intend to ecologically drive my gas guzzler around town, fill it up with some Supreme gasoline, smoke a couple cigarettes, and head out to the pistol range and punch a few hundred rounds of .45 through some paper.

I then intend to go to my local barbeque and have some smoked sausage and brisket. I'll probably eat some beans as well.

Who knows, I might even try a few burnouts in my car.

As I said Earth Day is very important to me.:)

I think I will have a treated-lumber and tire bonfire, and use it to dispose of a lot of sulfur, mercury, and cadmium I have laying around.
