What are your plans for Earth Day?

Posted on 04/22/2007 7:31:45 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55

Today is April 22, Earth Day.

Am I the only one who says WHO CARES???
Has it become "cool" to go green? I see it everywhere and I just don't understand.

The reason I ask is because I am a television producer. Recently in a meeting of story ideas.. the idea of how to go green was brought up.

Yeah yeah we'll tell people about different ways to save the environment, one person said. Keep in mind.. I live in a Very Conservative area. These people aren't your usual liberal tree huggers.

Why is Global Warming such a big issue? Or is it a fake issue? Global warning probably does exist. But there's nothing we can do about it. Global warning, from what I've read, happens on other planets like Saturn too.

I tend to think it's a made up issue. Shouldn't immigration be the number 1 issue? How about Iraq?

How about a Governor going 91 miles an hour down a highway with no regard for anyone's safety?

How about the fact that some kid just shot up a school.. and now gun grabbers will be going after our guns more than ever?

Muslims worship the moon, and treehuggers worship mother earth. Both groups are equally as dangerous to freedom loving Americans everywhere.

So in light of all this.. what are you doing for Earth Day? I'm gonna go gas up my SUV, fire up the gas grill, put gas in my SUV, and chop down a few trees.

I just watched a segment on Fox where they talked about how to go green in your home.

I watched it and learned some things.

Leave unused appliances plugged in ALL the time.

Wash all your clothes on the heat cycle.

Always dry dishes using the Dry cycle. Never let them dry on their own.

And don't forget to mow the grass today!!!!!

Phooey on Earth Day. It’s a made up liberal holiday that makes the Earth more important than God! Feh.

6 years ago on this day, my 4 month old daughter and I were at the hospital’s ICU unit, saying goodbye to my 31 year old younger sister who had been suffering from lupus for most of her life. The battle finally ended, but she got to say goodbye (as best she could with a ventilator and unable to move)to her new niece...which I am very grateful for.

Lauri, we sure do miss you, and look forward to the day when God will reunite us all again! :*)

Earth day should be called “Dirt Day”. I’m going 4 wheeling off road.

Did some hunting in the morning, then I am going to to some 4-wheeling with my SUV, take a boat on to the lake, then have a huge BBQ then top it off with roasting marshmellow and hotdogs over a huge bonfire.

FIRING UP my SMOKER this morning to do a slow cooked brisket for several adults coming over late this afternoon.

Later I’ll FIRE UP my gas grill to make burgers for the kids that’ll be over. That always produces a lot of good smoke.

Any ideas on what else I can smoke up on “Earth Day”?

I’m not going to do unnecessary manual labor on a Sunday, but I did drive my gas guzzling 1989 Chrysler Fifth Ave (318 V-8, bad rings) to Mass all by myself today.

Take a big healthy crap, and wipe my a-- on the entire roll of paper, start my gas powered chain saw, cut down a tree, and drive my SUV more miles in one day than I have since I owned It! Then, I am going to light up a big fat cigar (I normally don’t smoke) in celebration of earth (may, communist) day. I will rake up a giant pile of leaves, and burn them! Fill in some wetlands so that I can build me a tool shed, and then plant a single tree, to make it all carbon neutral, so I can do it all again next year!

Why is Global Warming such a big issue? Or is it a fake issue?

..because more and more people are coming out with different views concerning global warming...some scientist have lost their jobs because of views...(shame), Now let's make it a holiday..you CAN'T BE AGIANST A HOLIDAY. Just the alarmist circumventing common sense and the free open discussion of what many see as the end of the world. After all we can't TAX anyone on Mars.

Gonna burn that big pile of tree branches that accumumated during the recent ICE STORM.

But not before fashioning an dummy of ALGORE to BURN. Making a dummy of ALGORE is so simple: HE does it every time he opens his smirky little piehole.

Then I’ll fire up the GAS GRILL for the BBQ to celebrate.

burn a pile of tires in my backyard.

Poor old paint into the gutters.

Kick a cat.

Have my dog crap in a Snowy Plover hatchery.

Piss in a stream.

Burn a bucket of gas.

Burn a bucket of oil.

Have a barbecue.

Burn asbestos painted with lead.

Post of Free Republic.

:)
