Today is April 22, Earth Day.
Am I the only one who says WHO CARES???
Has it become "cool" to go green? I see it everywhere and I just don't understand.
The reason I ask is because I am a television producer. Recently in a meeting of story ideas.. the idea of how to go green was brought up.
Yeah yeah we'll tell people about different ways to save the environment, one person said. Keep in mind.. I live in a Very Conservative area. These people aren't your usual liberal tree huggers.
Why is Global Warming such a big issue? Or is it a fake issue? Global warning probably does exist. But there's nothing we can do about it. Global warning, from what I've read, happens on other planets like Saturn too.
I tend to think it's a made up issue. Shouldn't immigration be the number 1 issue? How about Iraq?
How about a Governor going 91 miles an hour down a highway with no regard for anyone's safety?
How about the fact that some kid just shot up a school.. and now gun grabbers will be going after our guns more than ever?
Muslims worship the moon, and treehuggers worship mother earth. Both groups are equally as dangerous to freedom loving Americans everywhere.
So in light of all this.. what are you doing for Earth Day? I'm gonna go gas up my SUV, fire up the gas grill, put gas in my SUV, and chop down a few trees.
I just watched a segment on Fox where they talked about how to go green in your home.
I watched it and learned some things.
Leave unused appliances plugged in ALL the time.
Wash all your clothes on the heat cycle.
Always dry dishes using the Dry cycle. Never let them dry on their own.
And don't forget to mow the grass today!!!!!
Smoking two cigars.
Think I'm gonna burn some old tires....
You know, like the 'real Americans', to practice my "smoke signals".
*smile
Hi C55! Cool.I’m a TV Producer, too. One of the few conserative ones.
13 years ago, a lib jouranist buddy of mine celebrated Earth Day in Alamagordo, NM by taking a hike in the nearby hills. He told me, that on his way back down the beautiful desert hills, he encountered a rattlesnake in the well-travelled path. Rather than hiking around the snake, off path, he picked up a big rock and smashed it.
He had a great sense for ironic humor.
BTW, most of us conservatives DO need to get outdoors more. Visit a Natl Park and find our inner-conservo-hippie.
I guess I better get to driving around town in my gas guzzling SUV, with no destination in mind.
I also plan on breathing more than usual so that more harmful CO2 enters the atmosphere. .
Now if y'all will excuse me, I have a few computers to power up so they can run all day without performing any useful tasks whatsoever.
Big pile of ribs, five pounds of charcoal & a 12 pack of Leiney’s.
Better hop on, it will be state sanctioned and enforced religion in the near future.
And to add insult to injury, reload some major-caliber handgun ammunition.
Now spreading some good chemicals on the lawn. Earlier turned on the dehumidifier in the basement, drove in the most scenic but least fuel efficient way to some stores to do errands. Don’t feel like I’m doing enough. Have to work on it.
The same as has been my habit since this moronic day was invented:
Carefully read the list of things the idiots recommend, and do the opposite, visibly, flagrantly and with a smile on my face. Even if I normally would not dream of doing those things.
Break in a new pistol.
HEY!!!
I have never met a single cat dumb enough to celebrate earth day!
> : |
I plan on taking my gas-guzzling hot rod to the drag strip, burn some rubber and burn some fuel.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

Enjoy your communist birthday cake - oops, not on your ration card.

Traditional Earth Day sandwich - a taste of earth.

Fireworks the whole family can enjoy.

Conserve electricity - keep warm by burning tires.
More fireworks.

Dispose of your heavy explosive ordnance safely - double bag it.
I'll play ping pong with sea turttle eggs instead. :)
I’m gonna chop up all the alkaline and NiCad batteries I’ve been saving and then bury them in the local park.
Burn up lots of diesel fuel in my F250!!
Cutting and stacking firewood on the upper six. Propper land management is the only way to “worship” moonbat day.
