I went to a school that had nuns... and in the 60’s... guess I was born at the wrong time... these things seem to be happening all over lately.

Very goth-looking.
She reminds me a little of Christina Ricci. Maybe it’s those big eyes.

Something tells me that some “not guilty” shots of her will turn up soon enough. She seems quite pretty (considering that mug shots never show anybody to advantage).
That having been said? If “special education” = what we used to call “retarded?” Throw the book at her.
Actually, throw the book at her anyway, assuming 15’s below the age of consent in Colorado.

Throw the book at herwhy is it if this was a male teacher he'd get 10 (or more) years?

I don’t know. We all had a good laugh about Debra LaFave and Pamela Rogers and all the “hot teachers” that have pulled stuff like this the past few years, but really, IF the student is under the age of consent, they should be facing the same penalties as a male teacher IMO. There’s a double standard when it comes to a teacher preying on teenage boys versus teenage girls...our reflexes to protect the more vulnerable girls kick in and make us want to throw the book harder at the males who prey on the girls. (And note that I’m not saying that’s wrong or that it’s a bad thing.)
If the student is over the age of consent (16 in most places), then I think there should be no criminal penalties, but certainly administrative penalties (i.e., they get fired and lose their teaching credentials). Even if it’s legal under a state’s laws, it’s a terrible abuse of the power that a teacher has over their students.

Kinda Morticia Addams. Would give her a “Not Guilty”, except for the Special Ed proviso. “Guilty”!

A minor AND "special ed"?
Even a jury of liberals would put her away.
