To: Red Badger

Since Canada is the second-largest -exporter- of wheat, I see no reason they needed to *import* it in the first place....except for the “Almighty Bottom Line”.

I had switched to Blue Seal foods when this began but they use Menu Foods for *one* product.

I returned the food and bought something made in the US of A.

It’s *my* dogs whose lives may be at stake so I can be as radical and “Irish” about this as I want...:)

Global market, global problems. As with anything else, the mfr wants to lessen his production costs. A Chinese import is less than his domestic, so he makes the logical choice, all other things being equal. But in this case, they were not equal, i.e. contaminated product from China. Has anybody found out how this “rat poison” got into the wheat gluten in the first place?.......
