the zoo had received a hand-written fax from a suspected animal hater with the words: "Knut is dead! Thursday midday."no...it was probably PETA @$$wipes, who are, in effect, animal haters...

Some animal rights campaigners were interpreted calling for him to be put down rather than raised by humans. Interpreted? That makes it sound like there could be some doubt about what was said. It seemed pretty clear to me.

Maybe the zoo should play a joke on the nutburger and remove Knut from his cage at night and replace him with Knut’s adult uncle Brutus. Ho, ho, ho, the look on that guys face would be worth the overtime to clean up the enclosure.

But how can this be? I thought that Americans were the only violent culture in the world. There should be no threats of death in any other country on Earth.

Agenda driven journalism. Can't even finish the article without contradicting themselves...
Top-selling Bild newspaper said the zoo had received a hand-written fax from a suspected animal hater with the words: "Knut is dead! Thursday midday."
Some animal rights campaigners were interpreted calling for him to be put down rather than raised by humans.

For a while I was concerned, because I thought "Knut" referred to that precocious little survivor from "Aliens."

In any case, this Knut is going to be pretty hard to take out. He's fairly well armored.
