My husband often reminds me of a conversation he had years ago with my grandfather, who was a very wise man. Grandpa said that the coverage of this stuff (mass murders, suicides, pedophilia, etc.) gives marginal people ideas, and in addition because it's on TV it seems more acceptable. Hubby often mentions this conversation and I think there is a lot of truth in it.

I don't think we should hide incidents like this, but dwelling on it does give nutcases ideas.

Exactly.

As much as I like all night TV, sometimes I wish it would all close down at midnight with the flag waving and the Star Spangled Banner playing.

It might make them report real news not junk because there would be less hours.

Grocery shopping day.

I'm afraid this could be big bucks. I have insisted that we clean out the old and bring in the new. So, new needs to be bought.

Goodness, you should see the list Sarah made. She'll by her own stuff that we don't eat , but the huge. She off Lent. She's missed the goodies.
